Monday Reflection

High: Going to my SF-12 Christmas party.
Low: crashing on my bike and getting sore, bruised, and cut.
Goal: to have a blast at the Christmas Banquet at my church.
Question: how come two siblings (like me and my sister) can be so different? (She is special needs, I am in all three honors classes)...

Mondays (really tuesdays) Reflection

High:
Going to ignite and being a contestent of their obstacle course. Also, I got a ticket to go to the Christmas Banquet at CHCC (my church).

Low:
Not having my five paragraph essay on my flash drive so I wasn't able to type up the entire essay at school. Then, thinking that I had saved it on to my flash drive, took my flash drive home so I could finish the essay then. But no, my essay didn't save to it, so I had to re write the entire essay on Monday night.
NOT FUN :(

Goal:
To be able to be in the Turkey Trot, even though my group did not qualify because I would be in the group as a sub so if you or anyone you know does not want to be in the Turkey Trot please comment on this post to tell me who I would be subbing for.

Question:
Why are Africian Americian people discriminated? Is it because the color of their skin, or because some influential people who look the same as them are judged because of their actions.

Yellow Journalism

My example of yellow journalism is this from http://www.failureisimpossible.com/essays/yellowjournalism.htm

Basically, it is saying that the media lied about the election results Bush vs. Gore
  • The most notorious recent example is the Miami Herald headline, "REVIEW SHOWS BALLOTS SAY BUSH [WON]." The review of the ballots, however, identified more uncounted ballots for Gore than for Bush — enough that, if all valid votes had been counted, we'd have President Gore today. Several different ways of deciding which ballots to count did result in more votes for Bush; but the scenario that most closely match the requirements of Florida election statutes gave Gore the victory.

About Me

Hello everyone,

As you should know, this is martha's blog. One of my life goals is to become a famous inventor. I would love to be as famous as Thomas Edison! I think that my favorite thing about English is that I am in honors, so it is a challenge to do my best, and not getting an "easy A". Not very many people know that I was on the news for going down a slide when I was two.

This is Martha, and English is a-okay, but I prefer math.
